So let’s start /w the potatoes. Pre-heat your oven to 425 degrees F…..then go grab a big bowl and throw in ALL of the following ingredients….
- 1/8 cup olive oil
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried dill weed
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (add more if you like SPICEY)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
I usually leave the skin on mine b/c I find it gives it a better taste. ALSO if you are ever in need of a side of AWESOME fries, just cut your taters like little rectangles and use this recipe!!! I swear it’s amazing if you only have one of two potatoes left in the house and no other option for a side dish.
Then mix your potato chunks in the bowl until evenly coated in the good stuff
mmmmm
Throw them on a GREASED baking sheet in the oven for ~ 30 mintues (turning halfway)
OK! now that those are cooking we can move on to the meat…..so go grab your THAWED chops and let’s get started
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp olive/vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup ketchup (or bbq sauce)
Mix everything throughly and grab a 9X13 inch baking dish – put chops in it and pour sauce over bake @ 350F for 30-60 minutes, turning once halfway. IF time permits or you have a busy work schedule you can cook them on low (200F) for 2hrs.
I like to marinade mine in advance and let all the juices soak in and we actually decided NOT to bake ours tonight. It’s summer and who wants to let something bake for an hour!?!
So Colin BBQ them instead….
While I threw the ball around /w Rex. (Logan was glued to the tv b/c “Cat in the Hat” was on again)
Then we added Colin’s amazing Caesar salad and ATE….and it was delicious. I hope you enjoy if you decide to give it a try
So I made your pizza last night, which was alot of fun because the little one put all the toppings on:) Turned out great! The crust was perfect, I dont have a mixer, but it was not too bad. I'm also going to try this recipe, my boyfriend will probably start loving you because all I cook is chicken and salmon. I'll let you know how it goes. I'll probably cook it on Mon:)
Oh that's GREAT!!!! I have never cooked salmon before. I'm not a much of a fish eater but if you'd like to send me one of your recipes I'd love to hear from you! Chicken is my favourite too! I just started doing some other meats.
PS: if you bbq the chops you won't need nearly as much sauce!
