Hair trends, June Calendar & Cute Logan.

First let me just get honest with you (as if I’m not already right?) and tell you this post is going to be more random than usual…..

I’ve been addicted to trying new things with my hair now that I don’t have layers! Long boring hair – who knew it would prove so amazing!!!

One of my new favourites….

I’ve also youtubed and learned how to do a fishtail braid in my own hair and have since begun working on my messy side bun. I don’t consider myself a fashionistia, but I do like to stay on trend ;)

Anyway, in other news we have a new June Challenge calendar courtesy of Desdra @ Domestic Diva in Training.

The large file is here and also on my monthly challenge page. No more ab calendars this month! We’re doing the whole body!!!

I will make an Ab calendar and put one up for June on my monthly page too. However, this month I have decided to do something different. I think for me I’m sick of dropping back down at the start of each month so I am proposing we do 60sec planks every day in June!

————————–

In Logan news there are LOTS of pics and projects I want to show you as I’ve become obsessed with Pinterest. Just like you all told me I would. It didn’t happen right away, actually I made it months after joining but now I want to do like 5 million DIY projects. I’ve been doing lots of fun crafts with Logan but I’ll post about that later ;)

For now you can see these two phone pics I deemed blog worthy:

cookie monster.

ipod shuffler.

Questions:

1. are you still doing the calendars??

2. what is your favourite go-to hairstyle??

Ponytail! – classic.

PS: I posted an easy Lemonade recipe this morning – you can check it out here :)

  1. I was just about ready to join your ab thingee, and you change it! LOL! :P

My default is pony tails because I’m lazy. I actually need to just suck it up and get a hair cut!

    Love the pictures of Logan!

  2. oh yes-liking the calendar-might help me DO something. like the idea of power hour…!!i would have to get my class involved…which I think could be sooo fun!

  3. I do the calendars – now that I’ve been banned from cardio I will do them more religiously at least for 10 days lol.

The pony is my favorite – I CANNOT WAIT TO gROW OUT THESE DAMN LONG BANGS AND LAYERS. They have been annoying me today so funny you posted this.

Want to bring me some lemonade? I am sweaty with pit stains – forgot to put on the fan for my conference call ;) sexay.

  4. I’m such a dweeb… I read this, thought I commented and then raced off to work!!
I… umm… never started with the calendars… BUT I think they are a wicked cool idea.
My go-to hairstyle is always the side part low pony… with the low bun variation. It’s polished, quick and simple. It always worked in banking, and still seems to do the trick with massage. :) But I love all the hair stuff you do, makes me want to venture out of my hair rut a little… just a little!
Annnnddd… I’m be-boppin my way over to your lemonade post because it’s gorgeous here today and lemonade sounds killer!

  5. I love your pretty pony! I will definitely have to try that.

I don’t really have a go-to hairstyle. My hair does whatever it wants, so it is mostly an attempt to reign it in. HA!

Logan is adorable. I like how Colin looks like he is about to grab that cookie from him. Kind of makes me crack up!

  6. I stopped doing the calendars, just too much on my plate! We are hoping to incorporate more strength training into our weekly routine with marathon training though!

I always have my hair in a ponytail, kind of boring since I do it all the time but it works for me.

    Love the photos of Logan!

  7. A ponytail is my go-to hairstyle too. I have a friend that I worked at the bank with who has long, dark hair and can do a fishtail braid. People would go out of their way to go ask her about her hair. That’s a really unique style that you don’t see often but is so beautiful!

Logan is looking cute as always. I see that Colin is not sporting his plaid pants in a photo on the blog-uh oh!

  8. I do buns with headbands a lot. I also loveeee braids. :D I can do a french braid and a waterfall braid but I still dont know how to do a fishtail braid. My hair is just getting long enough to do a over the shoulder braid which I am super excited about. :) Love the tucked pony. ;)
That lemonade looks so good! I was going to try it today, but it is about 40 degrees out and raining. So not the best day for lemonade!

  9. I think fishtail braids are so pretty but I could never figure it out! I barely can french braid my own hair!!

You should teach me some way to make my hair wavy…every time I follow the instructions (like braid your hair when wet, or twist when wet) I end up looking like i stuck my finger in a light socket. No joke.

  10. I love Pinterest as well. It makes its so easy to find those things that you’ve stumbled on while browsing that you’d just love to give a try. And you get exposed to stuff other people have found. My last few cupcake projects have been from here.

  11. I hardly ever do anything with my hair- I need to be better about caring how I look ;). My go-to style is just a weird twisted messy bun and the top of my head. It is so very NOT cute.

I am so going to do the calendar this month. I really need to stop ignoring the rest of my muscles.

  12. I like that calendar alot! I just saved it to my computer and may try to do it :) Looks like some good workouts in there.

My go-to style is a ponytail or french braid. I REALLY want to learn how to do the fishtail but I can’t figure it out. Did you find a good video to learn it?

  13. OMG your hair looks amazing. I have SO much catching up to do on your blog. I have been so busy lately. GAH. I either wear my hair down or in a ponytail. It’s just the easiest for me! When I want to get creative, the sock bun makes an appearance!

  14. Logan is too adorable!!! Totally diggin the June calendar! Total body is great! And I love that you can either do it as an add on or full workout, genius! ha
I love the hair! My go-to is usually a side braid!

P.S. I got my shirt today!!!!!!! :) I’ll be sending you a pic soon!

  16. Lemon oil may be used in aromatherapy. Researchers at The Ohio State University found that lemon oil aroma does not influence the human immune system, but may enhance mood.
