Homemade Lemonade

So I was craving Lemonade! So bad!!!

It has been hot and basically similar to the middle of summer here but alas, I had no lemonade on hand.

So I made some :)

It turned out perfectly!

Apparently all you need to remember is the 1cup rule:

  • 1 cup sugar (I used 3/4 for a less sweet taste)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup lemon juice

You simply heat up the water and dissolve the sugar in it then take the juice from 4-6 lemons OR if you’re like me and Colin who hate pulp use a cup of store bought lemon juice. This will make your base.

Then add cold cups of water until you reach your desired sweet/sour consistency. I ended up adding 3.5 cups of water to the mix. The result was a tart tasty treat that had Logan and me begging for more.

Out of focus cheers. Believe me, it’s better this way 😉

ENJOY!

Limes for almost every other occasion. However, I don’t like limeade.

  1. Trader Joes has Pomegranate Limeade that I LOVE. It’s the perfect mocktail!
As far as lemons go, I prefer pink lemonade. But we have a lemon tree in our yard. I think I will be making some lemonade with the ones growing.

  2. I love lemonaid and all sour things. MMM. Maybe I’ll make some soon. I have a juicer that I got as a wedding present almost 7 years ago that has NEVER been used.
