Our weekend started with me going to work and Colin and his Buddy Ryan jack hammering out our old patio! <—- THANK YOU!!!!!

Colin had started doing it alone the previous weekend and then found out the patio stone were actually 4 inches thick = ARGH! so now we have this big pile on our driveway. I am just relieved it’s out of the ground.

Our Sunday began with a classic family trip to Home Depot….
The main reason for going was to get covers for the pot lighting in the basement – it’s almost done folks! Only washing the floor and baseboards now!
YAY!
….but there was another reason we were there. Rex has been getting out under the fence. The fence that our lovely neighbours wrecked and never fixed. <— ya, that’s right neighbs I don’t like you. We have a chain link fence and because we don’t have a lot of money, we would normally buy slats of lattice and attach it to the bottom of the fence, disabling Rex from pushing through it.

However, I’m sick of having absolutely no privacy! I can’t even hang out with Logan in the yard without being continuously harassed. It’s annoying. So, since we don’t have the money for a whole new fence, we did what any cheap, tacky neighbour would do…..
…we bought sheets of lattice.

…and attached them to the chain link
Bye, Bye neighbours!
Well until they stand up, as the fence is only 4 feet high. The kids are short, so at least actively ignoring them will be much easier

I think it’s an excellent cheap method for privacy – I call it “The poor man’s privacy fence” I can tell the pinning is about to begin
We had strapped the lattice to the roof of my 2-door cavalier, so we couldn’t finish the whole side, but as for right now – I’m happy-ER (and yes, I realize it’s spelt with an “i”)

*Yep, I am that girl driving the Ghetto car with a hole in the side of it…..maybe you’ve seen me?* NO SHAME! <—— fyi Colin taught Logan to say that this weekend then he said “2 timbits, no shame” ….exactly!*
I spent the rest of the afternoon pulling weeds – acting excited about it

I'm wearing a nude Handful....I'm not naked!
While Logan played in the sand…..

There were 2 epic food fails this weekend too and for whatever reason, I believe the world should know about them. They are as follows:
- Tim Hortons “Assorted” Snack Pack of Timbits.

…do I even need to explain further? CHOCOLATE? hello?
2. Grape tomatoes in the trunk…..spoiler: they didn’t make it.

I’m just kidding…..I obviously picked them all out, one by one
And just because I was excited that I got to use the Nikon again, instead of my cell phone for blog worthy shots. Here are Logan and Rex playing in the backyard….

Poor dog.

Questions:
1. What did you do this weekend?!?!?
2. Do you like your neighbours??
I like the ones on the one side of me. Truth be told it’s not like I loathe the one’s we attempted to block out. It’s just that I don’t like the kids, they’re rude, inappropriate and ANNOYING. (one hit me in the head with a hockey ball yesterday and said NOTHING!) It’s not uncommon for them to ask ME for a snack or to constantly yell through the fence about Logan doing something he shouldn’t or whatever else (never has he had anything I mind him having). I just want to be left alone. Is that wrong of me? am I a bitch?
Are parents supposed to be playing and/or watching a 5/6 year old? or is that an age where the kid plays outside alone?? because I can’t stand that because I’m outside I have to deal with their kids. They can’t play with Logan because they have no concept of his age difference…one time the girl pushed him down the stairs! He couldn’t even walk them!!!!! ARGH <—- sorry for this vent but I HATE THEM! I am obviously super pissed off.
I guess I do loathe them
3. Any home reno’s going on the Spring?? tips?? pinning suggestions??
