As you know, I’ve been taking my running easy – only running 3 times a week: one recovery, one for speed, one long. Today was a long run day and I haven’t ran over 3 miles in a few weeks now so I decided to aim for 6.
Colin agreed to accompany me just in case anything bad happened. Oh and by “agreed” I mean reluctantly was forced to come.
All started out well but quickly into the run my hip started acting up, surprise, surprise and then it just traveled down my leg. My foot is killing and my ankle was brutal so I called it quits after 4 miles. We had to walk the whole way back. sigh.
I wish I could’ve gotten someone to take a picture of Colin doubling me on the bike as we rode home for a longer stretch but alas I suck as a blogger and didn’t enlist anyone
I don’t know what is wrong with my body. I’m trying to be good and obey instructions but it’s KILLING me. I want so badly to be able to complete this relay…oh well enough of the pity party. I’ll just keep trying to figure out what’s going on and just enjoy the fact that I got outside with the hubs on a beautiful Sunday afternoon

This smoothie/shake that I made after todays run was so good I just had to share it with you! it was 1000 times better than the last one I made.
Peanut butter Strawberry-banana Milk Shake:
- 4-5 halved strawberries
- 1 half of a chopped banana
- 1-2 Tbsps smooth peanut butter
- 3/4 cup 0% low fat Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup vanilla soya milk
BLEND EVERYTHING TOGETHER & ENJOY :D
this shake had about 28G of protein in it too. Yum, Yum, Yum!
